Meditation Classes and Workshops
Bodh Gaya Center is a Kadampa Buddhist meditation center in the heart of Bayside, New York. The center provides meditation classes and teachings in the Queens area. The Center was founded in 2007 by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso to fulfill requests made by many residents of Queens who had developed a heart-felt wish to study and practice his Dharma teachings. Taught by qualified Western teachers, the classes are suitable for both beginners and more advanced meditation practioners, and emphasize how to meditate and practice in our NY urban environment. Meditation is a simple yet profound method to improve the quality of our lives. Through following very simple, practical instructions we can learn to let go of the causes of our pain and dissatisfaction and gain the inner peace and clarity we seek.
We offer a wide range of classes from basic introductions to Buddhist meditation, applying Buddha's teachings to daily life issues such as anger and improving relationships, to comprehensive study programs. Everyone is welcome.

Registration opens Wednesday, June 24 at 12 noon. Visit registration information to register.
The annual Northeast Dharma Celebration is an opportunity for people from around the Northeast Region to gather together in the naturally peaceful and restorative environment of the beautiful World Peace Temple and share in the inspiration of the empowerment, teachings and guided meditations. This chance to reconnect with friends from other parts of the country and to receive teachings that speak directly to our capacity for improving the lives of ourselves and others brings great meaning to our “spiritual vacation.”
