Love and the Supreme Good Heart: Cultivating Authentic Love
Love is often confused with attachment. But whereas attachment gives rise to pain in our relationships, love only causes happiness. In this series we will train in the development of love – from understanding its nature and deepening our experience of it, right through to developing the highest expression of love known as the supreme good heart of bodhichitta. These teachings and meditations have the power to improve the quality of all our relationships, as well as helping us to connect to the extraordinary possibilities for a beneficial and happy life that exists within our own heart.

Journey to the Subtle Mind
Sutra Mahamudra Meditations on the Mind
The heart practice of Kadampa Buddhism is mahamudra. The sutra presentation of mahamudra emphasizes the meditation on the clear nature of the mind. This sublime meditation is a great favorite among practitioners. It is a deeply relaxing, spacious, and profoundly illuminating meditation. Through it we gain deep insight into the flexible and limitless nature of our own mind. This is in turn helps us to understand through our own experience the validity of the Buddhist spiritual path as a method to actualize our potential for lasting happiness and freedom. In particular we learn how to heal the old wounds we carry in our mind from the past. We will also be taught the special method for accessing a more subtle level of consciousness that will greatly empower our ability to meditate as well as to maintain happy and peaceful mind in our daily life.
